Travel Notes from Beyond
In the customer service queue at BootsnAll, I found this note today: helo – im lookin to reach Courtney we met on the train from Zurich to Austria – Jeff – where are u now?
It’s always awesome to reconnect with people I’ve met on the road. Jeff and I met while I was on a horrendous Eurail ride across Switzerland – something like 12 hours. He was hauling around some wine from Spain and we decided we had nothing better to do than drink it. Believe me, getting tipsy, then sobering up, then being slightly hungover – all while on a train – means you’ve been on it for awhile.
Jeff and the friend he was traveling with had met on a trip a year prior. I had talked about meeting them in Eastern Europe the following year, but it never materialized. I’m still hoping to make it over there fall, though. Maybe they’re up for a return trip!
