The Historical Side of Belgrade
I kept up with my touring of Belgrade today - checking out the ancient city ruins nearby, Tito’s grave, the largest Orthodox cathedral in the world (still under construction) and a 15 min quick look at the war musuem after I begged to be let in 20 minutes before closing.
However, my quick departure tomorrow is not going to happen, it looks like - despite the fact that my destination in Romania is a major city - the closest one to Belgrade, 120 miles away - there’s only one train, at 4:30. Bah. It’s throwing off my schedule and making me cranky, so I do not feel like writing any more right now. But, I must say, Belgrade is an awesome city and there are worst places I can be stuck…
