Summer in Portland

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Although it will probably rain for the entire month of June, the past ten days have made Portlanders think: summer is here! And, with summer, comes camping! And bikes! And vacations!

Since everyone is so pressed for time nowadays, Charlie and I decided to combine all three and are heading to Colorado in two weeks, swinging by Crater Lake and a few other parks along the way to swim, camp, and relax. Then, in Colorado, we have a 6-day bike tour that he is helping to guide and I am just hoping to survive. It’s a mountain pass a day….wish me luck :P

Other summer plans include a trip to LA…and who knows where else!

February Fun

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

As promised - here’s my MSN link…The Best Thing About My City.

They liked the series so they’ve decided to make it an ongoing thing, which is exciting. Up next? The most overrated thing…anyone have suggestions on overrated Portland activities?

I’ve got some fun (domestic) trips planned - one to Omaha for a wedding (I love Omaha!) for 36 hours in April and then another in June to take on the scenery of Colorado for a killer climb-a-mountain-pass-every-day bike tour. Hmmm…now to just get myself ready for the challenge!
